Afaq Music is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@afaqmusic.online or by post at Levent Mahallesi, Büyükdere Caddesi No:185, Şişli, Istanbul 34394, Turkey.
Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, artist or label name, country, and login credentials.
- Payout data: bank, Payoneer, or Wise details, plus tax information required by law.
- Content data: recordings, artwork, and metadata you upload for distribution.
- Usage data: device information, IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and diagnostic logs.

How we use your data
- Deliver your releases to DSPs and retailers.
- Calculate, report, and pay royalties.
- Provide support and respond to your requests.
- Prevent fraud, artificial streaming, and abuse of the service.
- Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- Improve the product through aggregated analytics.
We do not sell your personal data.
Legal bases
We rely on the following legal bases, depending on the activity: performance of a contract (running your account and distribution), legitimate interests (product improvement, fraud prevention), legal obligation (tax and accounting), and, where required, your consent (for example, marketing emails).
Sharing
We share what is necessary with:
- DSPs and retailers to publish and monetise your releases.
- Payment providers (bank, Payoneer, Wise) to process payouts.
- Infrastructure providers for hosting, email delivery, analytics, and fraud detection, under confidentiality and data-processing terms.
- Authorities where disclosure is required by law or to protect our rights.
International transfers
Because we and our partners operate internationally, your data may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Retention
We keep account, royalty, and tax records for as long as your catalogue is live with us, plus the period required by applicable tax and accounting rules. Support conversations are retained for a reasonable period to help us improve service quality.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Export a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, email hello@afaqmusic.online. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Security
We use encryption in transit, restricted access controls, and monitored infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, so please choose a strong, unique password and never share it. Report suspected security issues to legal@afaqmusic.online.
Cookies & similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and equivalent browser-storage entries:
- Strictly necessary: keep you signed in, remember your theme, and secure form submissions. These cannot be turned off without breaking the dashboard.
- Preferences: remember minor UI choices, such as your last-viewed section or language.
- Analytics: aggregated, IP-truncated measurement of page performance and feature usage. No cross-site tracking, no ad networks.
You can clear cookies through your browser at any time. We do not sell or share this data with advertising networks.
Automated decision-making
We do not use fully automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you. Fraud and artificial-streaming detection uses signals from DSPs and internal heuristics; any account action based on those signals is reviewed by a human before it takes effect.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices evolve. Material changes will be announced by email or in the dashboard. The date above indicates when this policy was last updated.
